We have had some new arrivals into our little family. Two just hatched baby chicks, one of them unfortunately is a rooster and we can't keep him. But we get to keep a tiny, little baby hen who we are naming Chicken Little, nickname Little.

She will grow up as a free- range hen with Dave, Nugget, Margery, and Mrs Clucklesworth. At the moment she is only a few days old, but in the space of 10 minutes she was extremely fluffy, with the cutest little wings ever!

The rooster looked like a drowned rat when it was born, but like Little it soon fluffed up. Rooster is going to a good home, with my Mum's friend who's husband is a farmer. They will take good care of him, and let him grow up free- range and hopefully very happy just like Little.

It's still very much early days but they are growing up and waddling around for food and water- but they spend most of their time in the warmth underneath Margery and Clucks; who are looking after them.
